Highlights from Valeria Skvortsova’s broadcast on Radio Kyiv FM: How an independent analyst is building a democratic Ukraine

Valeriia Skvortsova, Executive Director of the Ukrainian Center for Independent Political Research (UCIPR), participated in the "Third Sector" program on Kyiv FM radio. She discussed the transformation of civil society in Ukraine, contemporary challenges for CSOs, and the role of think tanks during the full-scale war and European integration.

During the conversation with host Yaroslav Fedorenko, they covered the history of UCIPR's founding in the early 1990s and its evolution as one of the first independent think tanks in Ukraine.

Valeriia Skvortsova noted that today, UCIPR continues to work on developing civil society, improving legislation for CSOs and charitable organizations, and adapting Ukrainian practices to European standards.

Special attention during the broadcast was paid to legislative changes affecting the activities of public organizations, the digitalization of government services for CSOs, and the development of online tools. Specifically, they discussed the launch of online registration for public organizations via the "Diia" portal—a project in which UCIPR experts were actively involved.
